Were looking for an experienced, efficient Commercial Construction Project Manager with the skills to facilitate the delivery of top-quality work to Peerless Properties Development clients. This job is ground-up, meaning that youll be responsible for all the steps of managing a construction site, from initial cost estimates to quality control and project handover.

Attention to detail in resource, time, and financial management is essential. The successful applicant will manage a cohesive, competent team to bring ambitious construction projects to life. Communication skills are key since the construction project manager will be the intermediary between the developer and the on-the-ground crew.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Be a professional team leader with excellent knowledge of and experience in overseeing small to large commercial construction projects from pre-construction to the finished building and aesthetics
  • Work directly with with engineers, architects, city and state government entities from plan development and implementation including the bidding process, permitting process, troubleshooting project delays and problems
  • Work closely with the developer, general contractors, job site foremen and sub-contractors to create project budgets, adherence to budget, timeframe estimation and scheduling and ensure timely project completion
  • Must be proficient in reading and understanding project blueprints and plans
  • Be highly organized and have excellent communication and time management skills
  • Must have previous extensive experience in advanced construction, commercial construction and construction project management
  • Must have extensive knowledge of and adhere to construction site health and safety rules and regulations
  • Have a working knowledge of standard city, state and federal commercial building codes
  • Be computer savvy for constant project communications, permitting and project research
  • CAD experience helpful
  • Established relationships with local contractors and sub-contractors a plus
