Farmers Insurance Team of Southeast MO is hiring Insurance Sales Representatives to join our growing team!

Our District Office is in Cape Girardeau, MO and our team supports 38 agents throughout the area. We would like you to join us! We provide Auto, Home, Business, and Life Insurance (Among many other product lines), to help protect our clients and their assets. If you want to be a part of a winning and competitive culture, then this could be the career for you.

We are looking for individuals who want to take control of their life and financial future and eventually become an agent with Farmers Insurance. We have agents from all backgrounds that do very well in this industry and a large portion of that is due to the training and assistance we provide from the District Office.

These are the two career opportunities we have:

#1: Retail Program: Similar to a Franchise you start with a branded office location and staff. Extensive training support throughout the process. Aggressive bonus and commission plan. The Retail Program might be a good fit for you if you have business ownership, sales or management experience.

#2: Protege Agent Program: This program provides individuals seeking an entrepreneurial opportunity with access to a 12-month development program that will provide an opportunity to become an agent with Farmers. You will have access to resources that can help you establish skillsets for future excellence, while learning the business and benefiting from a nationally recognized brand. The Associate Agent program might be a great opportunity for you to learn and grow; if you are a recent college graduate or wanting to learn the fundamentals of the insurance industry.

Responsibilities
  • Meet new business production goals and objectives as established.
  • Solicits for new business via telephone, networking, and other lead sources.
  • Develop insurance quotes, makes sales presentations, and closes sales.
  • Develop ongoing networking relationships with Real Estate Agents, Mortgage Lenders, Title Companies, Auto Dealers, etc.
  • Prospecting and generating new business through leads & referral sources.
  • Manage and support "your" team.

Requirements
  • Willing to obtain Insurance Licenses for Property/ Casualty and Life/Health.
  • Possess a genuine willingness to learn, be intuitive and resourceful and be coachable.
  • Possess an upbeat, positive and enthusiastic attitude.
  • Be a great self-starter with a sense of urgency.
  • Proficiency to multi-task, follow-thru and follow-up.
  • Excellent Communication/interpersonal skills.
  • Problem-Solving Capabilities.
  • Works well with other employees and is a team player with a positive attitude.
  • No insurance experience required but must be willing to learn
