Accountant

Our client, in the Insurance Industry is seeking a Senior Accountant to join their team.  The ideal candidate will have Bachelors Degree in Accounting and a minimum of 3 years of experience, Working knowledge of GAAP and strong proficiency with Excel, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Senior Accountant

Location: Tallahassee, FL (32309)

Pay Range: $34 hourly

What’s the Job?

• Assisting the Controller preparing financial analysis and reports and maintain the organization's system of accounting records. 
• Supervise the day to day accounting activities, help to monitor cash activity to ensure adequate funding of the disbursement and operating accounts. 
• Assist in the preparation of annual budget. 
• Oversee member assessment collection, reporting and reconciliation processes as needed. 
• Review and manage returned premium process in accordance with established policy and procedures. 

What’s Needed?

• Bachelors in Accounting, and at least 3 years of Accounting experience.
• Prior Supervisory experience, with the ability to train and manage staff.  
• Knowledge of GAAP, Financial Analysis, and proficiency with Excel. 
• Strong Presentation, organizational, and time managment skills
• Preferred: General knowledge of Insurance Industry practices
