We are the final remaining chain of full-service automotive repair shops in the valley, proudly owned and operated by a local family. With multiple locations spread across the valley, we are experiencing rapid expansion.


Job Description:

The role involves delivering top-tier automotive services, covering all maintenance tasks and system flushes. It requires maintaining a professional appearance and displaying a courteous demeanor when interacting with colleagues and customers. Compliance with all company procedures and policies is essential.


Key Responsibilities:


Vehicle Maintenance:

  • Perform routine maintenance services, including oil changes, tire rotations, fluid checks, and filter replacements, following manufacturer guidelines and service schedules.
  • Inspect vehicles for signs of wear and tear, damage, or safety concerns, such as worn tires, brake pads, or suspension components.
  • Complete basic service tasks efficiently and accurately to ensure vehicles are safe and reliable for customers.


Assistance with Repairs:

  • Assist senior technicians in diagnosing mechanical, electrical, and electronic issues in vehicles using diagnostic equipment and tools.
  • Learn and apply basic repair techniques under the supervision of experienced technicians, such as replacing brakes, batteries, belts, and hoses.
  • Follow safety protocols and procedures when handling tools, equipment, and automotive parts to prevent accidents and injuries.


Customer Service:

  • Interact with customers professionally and courteously, answering questions and providing basic information about vehicle maintenance and repair services.
  • Communicate effectively with customers regarding service recommendations, cost estimates, and repair timelines.
  • Provide excellent customer service to ensure a positive experience and promote customer satisfaction and loyalty.


Documentation and Record Keeping:

  • Document all service and repair activities, including parts used, labor hours, and diagnostic findings, accurately and legibly on service records or computer systems.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas, tools, and equipment to ensure a safe and efficient working environment.
  • Follow company policies and procedures for record-keeping, inventory management, and quality control.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a vocational or technical training program in automotive repair is preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of automotive systems, components, and repair procedures.
  • Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn new skills and techniques.
  • Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer-focused attitude.
  • Physical stamina and dexterity to perform tasks requiring lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record may be required.


Work Environment:

General Service Technicians typically work in automotive repair shops, dealerships, or service centers. The environment may involve exposure to noise, fumes, and hazardous materials. The role requires adherence to safety protocols and proper use of personal protective equipment. Work schedules may include weekends, evenings, or overtime to accommodate customer demand or urgent repairs.
