Job Description

This national sales leader is responsible for building key relationships with major c-store and foodservice distributor customers, multi-unit restaurant, hotel, or other customers and growing net profit and revenue for the Away from Home Division. This person actively participates in planning and developing division objectives, policies, programs, sales activities, and participates in major customer calls as needed with Away from Home Market Managers. Directs sales forecasting activities and sets performance goals for customers accordingly.

1. Directly solicits new account prospects and coordinates sales efforts on existing major customers. Meets with key clients in person and over the phone. Attends various food shows corporate outings, golf tournaments and special events. Prepares periodic sales report showing sales volume, potential sales, and areas of proposed client base expansion.

2. Develops new account presentations and proposals. Delivers sales presentations to key clients as well as in coordination with Market Managers. Represents company at trade association meetings.

3. Works with Market Managers across the footprint to assist with sales calls when needed.

4. Collaborates with a wide variety of functional areas such as accounting, marketing, manufacturing, and logistics to develop and deliver products/specifications responsive to customer needs and market opportunities.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:

  1. Advanced knowledge of sales and marketing principles.
  2. Knowledge of brewing equipment.
  3. Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  4. Proficient skill with personal computer and job-related software packages.
  5. Ability to make presentations to large groups and corporate executives.
  6. Ability to negotiate contracts.
  7. Ability to establish successful working relationships with appropriate industry representatives.

Education and Experience Required: High school diploma required but a bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, communications or related field is a plus. Food service distribution sales experienced required, plus five years job-related experience in sales, marketing, new product launch, and contract negotiation preferred OR an equivalent combination of education and experience is required.

This position requires overnight travel approximately 50%-75% of the time. It can be remote based, so we are open to candidates who live near major US airports.
