We are seeking a seasoned Metallurgical Engineer to provide management for our location within the Battle Mountain-Eureka-Cortez gold trend of Eureka County, Central Nevada.
Job Description
Provide specialist-level technical support and high-quality testing service to the organization, driving and influencing continual improvement.
Operational/Technical Execution
- Provide specialist-level metallurgical support to Process Operations as required.
- Plan and Implement solutions to eliminate bottlenecks and increase efficiency, productivity, and production.
- Develop and maintain metallurgical testing and modelling programs, ensuring that they are complete and up to date.
- Manage all metallurgical accounting and SOX compliance activities and issues.
- Reconcile ounces produced to long-range mine plan.
- Provide input to monthly cost reviews, cost modelling, and forensics.
- Review and provide input into monthly metal forecast using cost models.
- Provide input into the budgeting process through zero based cost models.
- Monitor and report back on adherence to forecast.
- Coordinate and reconcile Dore settlements.
- Compile and produce daily reports.
- Conduct month end reconciliation for our processes, including Leach Pad
- Monitor and report back on crusherdowntime
Knowledge Required
- Technical skills appropriate to this position and area of work
- Proficiency in the use of engineering and/or metallurgical modelling software or principles
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Knowledge of all company policy and procedures relating this area of work
- Complies with all Health, Safety, Industrial Hygiene and Environmental standards and all other requirements relevant to the assigned areas of work.

Qualifications
- Bachelors Degree in Metallurgy or Chemical Engineering
- 3 to 8 years of experience in a mining technical role
- Proven ability to work with vendors and suppliers
Requirements
- Valid driver's licence
Work Conditions
- Climbing ladders/stairs, long periods of standing, walking over uneven ground
- Works in ADR on a regular basis
- Works cooperatively with mine planning, mine geology, exploration and mine maintenance.
- Works in process areas in and outdoors up to 8800 feet
- Moderate to Heavy repetitive lifting to 50 lbs.
- Repetitive motion - bending, stooping, kneeling, and standing for long periods of time.
- PPE required; must be cleared to wear a respirator to perform specific tasks.
- Exposure to noise and dust, prolonged exposure to weather conditions (hot, cold, windy, dust)
