Premier Tooling & Manufacturing is looking for an experienced CNC Machinist who can program, set up and operate various CNC mills and lathes in their machine shop located in Peosta, Iowa.  This is an invitation to collaborate and apply your craft in a creative, conscious, and characterful culture. We seek talented, driven and experienced individuals to support our teams in Manufacturing for our facility.


We are looking for a machinist skilled for the Tool Room - either shift!

Shifts are as follows:

  • 1st Shift: Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM
  • 2nd Shift: Monday through Thursday, 3:30 PM - 2:00 AM.  Friday, Saturday, and Sunday off!


Essential Functions:

  • Operate machine shop equipment such as CNC mills and lathes of various controls and sizes. 
  • Fabricate details to specifications from drawings.
  • Maintain adherence to strict tolerances.
  • Ensure personal tools are maintained and calibration is current.
  • Promote customer satisfaction and on-time delivery. 
  • Clean and maintain immediate work area.
  • In addition to listed duties, Management reserves the discretion to add or modify the duties and responsibilities of this position at will.


Skills:

  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization as a team member.
  • Ability to read and comprehend tooling blueprints.
  • Ability to shift priorities from job to job to satisfy customer requirements.
  • Ability to understand and program Surfcam and Auto Cad.


Attributes:

  • Ability to grasp training agendas quickly and retain knowledge.
  • Ability to manage time and multitask.
  • Reliability concerning attendance and punctuality.
  • Multilimb Coordination and manual dexterity allowing lifting capabilities up to fifty pounds.
  • Support of the Safety Policy in day-to-day activities.
  • Knowledge of appropriate ISO policies and procedures.


Experience and Education:

  • High school diploma (or GED or high school equivalence certificate)
  • 2 years experience.
