• Work hours must be prompt
• Works hours are subject to change with company growth as per management.
• Make rounds and inspect walk in freezer & refrigerator, pantry, document temperature findings.
• Turn ovens and hood on.
• Turn on fans and air conditioners (pantry & kitchen).
• Calibrate thermometer and document with signature.
• Fill 3 compartment sinks and document readings.
• Wash hands and wear appropriate head wear and aprons.
• Start helping to finish lunch; help to load lunches for all locations
• Work on production for next day menu; cover prepped food and label items properly.
• Take first brake
• Help cook planned dinner meal for all locations
• Continue on production for next day menu.
• Continue dinner preparations.
• Take 30 min Lunch
• Finish prepping/cooking planned dinner meals for all locations.
• Guide drivers on loading vehicles with routed dinners, leave kitchen
• Communicate with manager, staff, HOH help or volunteers to help with breakfast & lunch production prep (next day production) as needed
• Start and assist cleaning of kitchen, closing down the kitchen for end of shift.
• Take 2nd break
• Clean dishes, work stations, floors & trash after evening production.
• Assist with production as needed per dedicated events and or catering.
• Assist in other duties as assigned, EX: organizing and cleaning pantry, heavy duty cleaning, kitchen appliances, range tops, hood, ovens, trashcans, walk/reach-in freezer & refrigerator, janitorial closet, prep area walls, kitchen doors & walls, hand wash stations, grease trap, floor drains & covers, floor mats, cleaning the vans etc.
• Receive any food orders and or donations; weigh and document.
• Sort through donated miscellaneous boxes and adjust findings through weekly menu.
• Pull frozen foods for defrosting procedure and label items.
• Rotate and FIFO food from walk-in refrigerator and freezer.
• Refresh kitchen paper goods.
• Make rounds and inspect walk/reach in freezer, refrigerator, pantry and document findings.
• Workday is finished
