Experienced Technician

Can you turn 50-60 hours per week and have experience with either Volkswagen or Audi as well as live in the Northshore or New Orleans area. Volkswagen of Mandeville has more work than we know what to do with and needs an experienced technician to push our client’s satisfaction to new levels.

Volkswagen of Mandeville has experienced rapid growth in the last two years! Imagine a shop where your productivity is valued, desired, and rewarded, since adding our current service manager our processes have streamlined, our technicians now have the potential to flag as much as they themselves can work on in a week and your production will not go unrewarded, there is a family atmosphere in the shop where we help each other and learn from one another. While we are continuing to make changes in shop appearance and shop equipment (including adding A/C to the shop soon), we are looking for Technicians that are comfortable turning wrenches and looking to work for a family-owned business where you’re more than a number, you are family!

• After Two Years of Employment: Receive $1000.00

Responsibilities

• Perform work specified on the repair order with efficiency and in accordance with dealership processes
• Test-drive vehicles, and test components and systems, using diagnostic tools and special service equipment
• Diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical steering, suspension, brakes, air conditioning, etc.
• Communicate directly with the Service Advisor so that customers can be informed if any additional service is needed. Providing an estimate of time needed for additional repairs
• Executing repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications and required documentation.

Qualifications

• Volkswagen or Audi experience (will consider another brand with good employment history on your resume)
• Strong automotive background
• Strong teamwork skills
• Willing to submit to a drug screen & background check
• Must have clean & valid driver's license
• Must have own tools

Job Types: Full-time

Salary: $30.00 to $45.00 /hour based upon experience plus production bonuses
