Duration: 6 Months (temp-to-hire)

Location: Houston, TX 77041

Shift: Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 4:30pm

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 3+ yrs. of proven production support skills.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite: Word, Excel, Project, PowerPoint, Outlook, and other business-related software. Experience with Dynamics 365 is a plus.
  • Possess exceptional people skills and be professional. Must be comfortable speaking with customers, suppliers, and others in person and over the phone.
  • Must be detail and problem solving oriented and have the ability to plan for and execute a multitude of tasks with varying deadlines. Must have excellent time management skills.
  • Be a customer-focused, self-motivated individual who is a team player and excels at multi-tasking and communication (both written and verbal), has a positive attitude, be articulate, have excellent people and communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.

Description:

The Production Assistant works with the COO to ensure production schedules are developed, inventory is accurate, orders are received, completed, and shipped on time. Some of the typical Production Assistant job duties and responsibilities include:

  • Planning, scheduling, and coordinating production of the company’s products.
  • Evaluating raw materials and equipment to ensure everything is in place for production.
  • Watching costs to ensure the production process stays within budget.
  • Reporting on the production status and any production issues to upper management.
  • Handling production disruptions and productivity problems.
  • Finding ways to improve productivity and reduce costs.
  • Using forecasts and analysis to anticipate necessary production changes.
  • Communicating order status to Sales & Accounting.
  • Work with the COO on maintaining the SQF/HACCP system.
  • Create documents, maintain databases, and send emails as needed.
  • Making logistical arrangements for shipping and receiving.
  • Collecting, filing, and organizing office documents, such as reports and confidential records.
  • Preparing or processing invoices or estimates
  • Assisting with accounting tasks as needed.
  • Assist with maintaining and developing product catalogs, technical & specification sheets, and applied pricing schedules for various customers.
  • Assist with maintaining and developing presentations.
  • Assist with Packaging and Shipping.
  • Assist production when needed.
  • Assist with the development of procedures, processes, and training.
  • Other duties as needed.
