IT Manager (on-site)

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Develop and implement IT policy and best practices for the organization.
• Plan, organize, control and evaluate IT and electronic data operations.
• Design, develop, implement and coordinate IT systems, policies and procedures.
• Conduct routine evaluations of network to ensure the security of data, network access, disaster recovery and backup systems.
• Manage IT staff by recruiting, training and coaching employees, communicating job expectations and appraising their performance.
• Manage 3rd party vendors or service providers.
• Oversee implementation of software solutions and monitor and control IT projects.
• Accountable for user desktop support experience. KPI’s include timeliness, effectiveness and overall improvement in technology solutions for individual users.
• Create workshops and training programs for staff.
• Preserve assets, information security and control structures.
• Manage annual budget and ensure cost effectiveness.

REQUIREMENTS / QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s Degree in IT related field and a minimum of three years’ work experience.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, and the ability to quickly learn and utilize Company software programs.
• Strong people management and leadership skills, ability to motivate team efforts to accomplish goals.
• Ability to develop solutions to a variety of complex problems, recommend and lead operational change as technical leader, and coach and assist other peers.
• Must possess excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Position is based on site in Croswell, MI. Must be able to travel to other manufacturing locations as needed.
