Civil Grade Checker

The Civil Grade Checker is responsible for conducting standard construction grade checking procedures for pads, slopes, curb, curb & gutter, utilities, etc... Candidates should know how to read and set up grade stakes for heavy equipment. Must have solid technical skills and knowledge of civil construction. Accuracy in your work will be critical. This is a full-time position with great benefits such as vacation time, sick pay, holiday pay, health benefits, and a 401K contribution.

The base pay is $ 25.00 an hour to $40.00 an hour (depending on experience).

Desired Qualifications:

• Three years of experience in civil construction and/or site development work as a Civil Grade Checker.
• A self-starter and team player!
• Ability to read and understand construction drawings, specifications, and safety and quality standards.
• Ability to effectively utilize industry software and trade-related tools for grade work.
• Candidate with operating skills is a plus.

Pay Range:

$ 25.00 an hour to $40.00 an hour, DOE. Though currently at least half of the projects provide prevailing wage pay, the project types do fluctuate and the rate of pay could be impacted based on project type though a base hourly rate will be determined if job offer extended.
