Position Summary

This role will report to the CFO and will be based in Michigan. We are seeking an experienced and motivated Accountant with a procurement focus who will be responsible to manage the entire accounting process including the day-to-day accounting operations, providing financial guidance to management, and ensuring the accuracy of financial statements and reports. The ideal candidate will have solid procurement background with demonstrated abilities to source, negotiate and manage vendors. In addition, he/she will have strong analytical skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work well in a goal-driven, fast-paced environment.

Your Responsibilities Will Include, But Not Be Limited To:

  • Prepare the monthly and quarterly closing process, including journal entries, account reconciliations, trial balance and general ledger reconciliation.
  • Full accounting cycle including accounts receivable, accounts payable, invoicing, payroll and monthly closings.
  • Conduct monthly cash and account reconciliation including bank statements and general ledger accounts.
  • Support in the annual budgeting and forecasting process.
  • Lead the accounts payable and accounts receivable functions.
  • Source, negotiate and manage vendor contracts and relationships.
  • Implement successful sourcing strategies to secure beneficial terms and conditions.
  • Support payroll and general HR functions in connection with our affiliated entity.
  • Manage accrual analysis and intercompany transactions.
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP and company policies.
  • Provide financial guidance to management.
  • Develop and maintain internal controls to ensure the integrity of financial information.
  • Perform other related duties as required.

Your Required Expertise

  • Bachelor’s Degree in full cycle Accounting
  • 15+ years of accounting experience.
  • Proven working experience as an accountant with a strong emphasis on procurement tasks.
  • Solid understanding of the full accounting cycle
  • Advanced knowledge of QuickBooks Online.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
  • Fully bilingual in Spanish and English
