Position Description:
Assemblers perform various tasks here a Wabash that vary from location to location. We have Assemblers that are responsible for anything from installing and assembling subassemblies and component parts to operating rivet punchers to installing decals and much more in between
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Below are examples of the type of duties you could be responsible for:
- Own and help improve are Safety, Quality, and Delivery, performance
- Keeping their work area free of any potential work hazards
- Caulking materials
- Measuring and cutting material
- Installing rivets
- Operating heavy machinery
- Installing truck bed flooring
- Following decal templates/ blueprints
- Install signs, reflectors, fenders, mud flaps and other associated parts
- Performs additional work as assigned by the Supervisor or Team leader. This may require the employee to flex into another department
- Wear approved personal protective equipment such as safety shoes, gloves, safety glasses with side shields, respirators, hearing protection, etc.
- Complete assigned duties in accordance with safety policies and practices. This includes regard to individual safety, the safety of co-workers and the safe use of equipment in the workplace.

Qualifications:
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen
- Basic reading /writing/ & verbal skills
Knowledge, Training, Skills and/or Experience:
Experience and education are great to come into this position with. However, it’s not required, here at Wabash, we give you the training to become comfortable in any Assembler position. Upon receiving an offer letter from us, you’ll undergo orientation and several days of training, preparing you for the production floor.

The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibrations. Physical Demands:
As an Assembler, you are regularly required to stand, walk, lean, push, climb, sit, bend, kneel, stoop, handle and operate tools or controls for the length of their entire shift. The employee needs full range of motion in their arms and hands in this position. All Assemblers must be able to successfully communicate with fellow employees as well. Some Assemblers also work in small spaces throughout their shift and frequently lift and/or carry objects up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus, along with good hand-eye coordination.
