Drafting Technician

Duties:

• Create electrical drawings, advance bills of material, and other engineering documents for projects as assigned, based on project documents and standards
• Make job site visits to get field information, as assigned
• Work on projects at the direction of the Operations Engineer and/or VP of Engineering
• Assist Sales and Estimating as needed with design plans
• Work with Engineers and technicians to solve problems when errors are made in the drafting room and in the shop
• Assist Project Managers
• Responsible for maintaining all documentation pertaining to the electrical drawing of their projects and saving the documents in the Engineering job folder
• Work with Senior Automation Technicians and Engineers to develop electrical schematics
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Preferred enrollment in a two or four-year accredited design and drafting program.
• Strong organizational, attention for detail, verbal, interpersonal, and time-management skills
• Preferred proficient in AutoCAD, Visio, or other CAD software
• Proficient in Microsoft excel
