Element, has an opportunity for Electromagnetic Compatibility Compliance Engineer in the Regulatory Division of our Fremont, CA. This position applies engineering concepts for testing and evaluation of electronic and wireless RF devices for US federal and international regulatory compliance. Determining compliance requires the understanding and application of test standards, diagnosing problems, analyzing results, and troubleshooting unexpected performance in a fast-paced environment and industry. All training provided.
Pay rate $32-35/hr
- Understand customer test plans and how to properly follow laboratory technical procedures and test specifications
- Setup test equipment, and follow written specifications necessary for the proper performance of the test
- Interface and communicate with product development teams to ensure device compliance and client satisfaction
- Collaborate in an engineering team environment and assist in development and improvement of test methodologies, reporting, coordination of various tasks, etc.
- Coordinate and manage multiple projects in parallel with tight deadlines
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering Required
- Proven ability to use EMC test equipment such as EMI receivers, Anechoic Chambers, Spectrum Analyzers, etc.
- Two or more years' experience working in regulatory compliance; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Knowledge of basic principles of electrical and electronic theory
- Typical Hours: 40 - 60 hours per week
- Must be willing to work rotational weekend schedule
- Night shift available with differential
