JOB SUMMARY

The Custom Order Specialist is to interact extensively with our customers and is responsible for ultimate customer satisfaction. They handle requests that require customization or special attention to fulfill customer's needs.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Drives department special order revenue goals through pricing and ordering efficiencies for OpCo (operating company) merchandising teams.
  • Contributes to department sales goals by providing direction and support to CSR's & sales teams for custom order products.
  • Manages relationships with OpCo (operating company) merchandising, management and vendors to ensure custom/special order processes are efficient and serve the customer with the best outcomes.
  • Knowledgeable and efficient with using Bids Portal to process special orders.
  • Ensures custom or special orders requests are handled timely/with appropriate urgency while maintaining accuracy.
  • Proactively communicate to all internal and external related parties to exceed customer's expectations.
  • Develop customer relationships to encourage return customers.
  • Demonstrates ownership of customer requests with follow-through, documentation and complete resolution.
  • Assists in returns and replacements as needed.
  • Analyzes transactions, correct records and adjusts errors.
  • Provide accurate information regarding the pricing and availability of in-stock items.
  • Communicates with other departments for order completion.
  • Resolves customer questions related to orders, identifies order opportunities and places orders.
  • Maintains 90% minimum average in customer service and sales area quality assurance reviews.
  • Remain current with product knowledge by attending vendor meetings/training and participating in provided training/education.
  • Proactively identify and communicate areas of department, training and process improvements needed and for areas of company growth.
  • Manage time effectively, meet personal and goals and work effectively with other members of the distribution team.
  • Report any system or product inaccuracies.
  • Follow company policies and procedures.
  • Performs additional duties as assigned.


QUALIFICATIONS
Education

  • High school diploma or equivalent

Experience

  • Minimum 2 to 4 years' experience in customer service, or related transferable skills.
  • Customer-centric and Internet savvy.
  • Strong MS Office skills.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Restaurant supply/commercial foodservice experience
  • Bilingual Spanish
