About this job

The Maintenance and Upgrade Manager ensures the smooth operation of the water treatment equipment and systems at our industrial customer site through appropriate maintenance and repairs. Will be responsible for overseeing maintenance and preventative maintenance, inventory management and warehouse operations, and upgrades of equipment on site. Teams with the Site Leaders to foster a compliance-based culture and acts as a driving force for EHS. In addition, you will:

  • Supervise and coordinate maintenance activities for the water treatment equipment to ensure optimal performance, efficiency, and reliability.

  • Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules to minimize downtime and extend equipment lifespan.

  • Diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues, collaborating with the technical team to resolve problems promptly.

  • Collaborate with the Engineering teams to plan and execute equipment and system upgrades.

  • Monitor upgrade projects to ensure that deadlines are met, within budget and meet quality standards.

  • Leads, coaches and mentors the team of Maintenance and I&E Technicians, providing guidance and support.

  • Participate in the selection, interviewing, and hiring of new Maintenance and I&E Technicians.

  • Provide performance management of the Maintenance & Upgrade Team and support enhancement of their skills and knowledge.

  • Cooperate and coordinate with the Plant Supervisors on the operation and maintenance of the equipment to optimize performance and running time.

  • Oversees Warehouse operations and manages inventory levels of parts, tools and equipment needed for maintenance and repairs.

  • Implement inventory control practices to ensure adequate inventory while minimizing costs, optimizing space utilization and inventory handling.

  • Maintain proper inventory documentation and conduct periodic audits for accuracy.

  • Ensure proper handling of any hazardous materials while following EHS guidelines.

  • Maintain documentation for maintenance, preventative maintenance, inventory and warehouse activities. Prepare reports and present as needed.

What will you bring to the table (Skills/Experience Required)?

  • Degree in an Engineering (Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field) discipline or High school/GED and 5 years of equivalent experience

  • 3-5 years of site project management experience

  • Proven experience in maintenance and upgrade management

  • Strong technical knowledge of water treatment equipment, pumps, valves, and related systems.

  • Excellent organizational, leadership, and communication skills.

  • Proficiency in using maintenance management software and tools.

  • Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.

  • Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in warehouse and equipment handling.

  • This position is not remote and is site-based in Point Comfort, TX.
