To maintain the instrumentation and control systems to meet the specific energy generation requirements of the Luminant system in a safe, reliable, efficient, and environmentally sound mannerJob Description
Key AccountabilitiesPerform work incorporating strict adherence to Safety procedures and best practices and continually observe for safe working practices.
Regularly develops and presents safety topics.
Develop an understanding of HPI tools through training opportunities and practice. Actively participate in Pre/Post Job briefs.
Work with other technicians to perform routine and emergency maintenance and/or compliance activities on the plant instrumentation and control systems including weekends, holidays, and scheduled shift.
Cover Unit start-up and shut-down activities with assistance from other Technicians.
Calibrate, troubleshoot and maintain power plant instrumentation systems and equipment.
Learn to enter WRs and PRs into Maximo.
Assist in the design and implementation of O&M and Capital projects.
Learn to communicate LOTO requests to Operations.
Maintain a good working relationship with Operations, Electrical, Purchasing, Warehouse personnel, other support groups and vendors.
**LEVEL OF POSITION WILL BE DETERMINED BY APPLICABLE SKILLS/EXPERIENCE.
Education, Experience & Skill Requirements:* High School education or GED equivalent
* Working as an Instrument and Control Technicians or seven (7) years of related work experience.
