Cognizant, a global IT consulting firm, is looking for a Technical Support Agent with retail experience to be part of our team of specialists in Memphis, TN. Our agents are encouraged to display critical thinking, analytical skills, high attention to detail, excellent writing, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Our technical support agents play a meaningful role as the face of Cognizant to retail outlets experiencing challenges such as password resets, user access and provisioning, release of hardware/software, tackle network and wireless connectivity, general IT troubleshooting (POS, scanner, printer, display, etc.) and other responsibilities.

Experience and skill
  • Solid background in retail technical support.
  • Good interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work calmly and efficiently under pressure.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Provide guidance and support via phone, chat, and email.
  • Able to multi-task while moving from one program to another.
  • Raise intensified issues that arise while resolving issues to the Team Leads
  • Maintain up to date knowledge of the technology in the retail space.
  • Messaging by completing new trainings and knowledge checks in a timely manner
  • Work well under pressure in a user-focused environment
  • Meet internal metrics such as quality, performance SLAs and shift consistency
Requirements:
  • High school graduate or equivalent, Bachelor's degree in computer science or similar program preferred
  • 1 year experience in a fast-paced technical support call center
  • Comfortable working with modern customer support and productivity tools
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Quality focus, excellent documentation skills
