Cognizant is seeking a Senior Mainframe HOGAN / VSAM Developer with strong experience to join our team.

Job Title: Senior Mainframe HOGAN / VSAM Developer

Job Location: Must be willing to work in Pittsburg, PA on Hybrid basis (Onsite - 3 Days per Week).

Roles/Responsibilities (Day to Day candidate's responsibilities)

* Liaise with the Development Managers and business stakeholders to write code for application development.

* Create technical solutions for the application based on the requirement documents.

* Provide support to fix any code related issues and perform testing if needed.

* Build, deploy and test programs to ensure their functionality.

* Integrating upstream and downstream application programs into systems

* Participate in project meetings and provide inputs wherever needed.

Required Qualifications:

* At least 5+ years of experience as a Core System Programmer in Umbrella preferably supporting IDS product.

* Strong Experience in Assembler language programming.

* Should be able to work with VSAM databases in Hogan.

* Experience leading and working through an umbrella upgrade.

* Experience in integrating and working with CICS + UMBRELLA integration.

* Should have used Endeavor as SCM

* Strong analytical skills.
