Description:
JOB PURPOSE:
Organizing and coordinating activities of the sleep center and staff personnel in order to ensure quality patient care, teaching technologists and physicians the technical aspects of sleep studies and providing clinical care services as needed.
Qualifications:
MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED:
One year of college with emphasis on sciences and graduate of a sleep disorders training program leading to Registry as a Polysomnography Technologist.
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Two years comprehensive experience in a sleep diagnostic laboratory servicing all referral types, adults and children, and prior experience in teaching, supervision or as coordinator.
MINIMUM LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION REQUIRED BY LAW:
Registry by the Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists (BRPT) is required.
ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
Current Certification in BCLS preferred.
