We are looking for a Communications Coordinator to conduct comprehensive assessments of applications. This position will be full-time contract and onsite. 

 

 

What You’ll Do 

  • Coordinates and conducts comprehensive assessments of applicants for nursing facility placement

  • Reviews comprehensive assessments for assigned annual recertification cases.

  • Ability to create a 17-page assessment review to determine medical criteria for individual level of care

  • Knowledge of the aging process and effects of chronic illness

 

 

What You'll Need 

 

Required: 

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited college or university with a major in a related field, OR professional experience totaling four (4) or more years in a related field, OR a combination of education and professional experience totaling four (4) or more years in a related field.

  • Ability to speak and understand English

  • Experience in the social science, human services or a related field, such as case manager or social worker

  • Extensive reading and writing competencies

  • Knowledge of confidentiality requirements

  • Knowledge of basic medical terminology and electronic records

  • Experience using Microsoft Word

  • Knowledge of the aging process and effects of chronic illness

  • Ability to demonstrate a professional and courteous demeanor to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with the public and staff

  • Knowledge of medical and social terminology

  • Critical thinking

  • Excellent typing skills at least 35 wpm

 

Physical Demands 

 

  • Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA and other federal, state and local standards 

  • Sedentary work that involves sitting or remaining stationary most of the time with occasional need to move around the office to attend meetings, etc. 

  • Ability to conduct repetitive tasks on a computer, utilizing a mouse, keyboard, and monitor
