Under the supervision of a Registered Nurse or Physician, provides direct, safe, appropriate, and effective nursing care to designated patients in accordance with patient needs, current standards of nursing practice, and organizational policies within the scope of LPN Licensure and organization policy.  Performs general nursing tasks. Adheres to policies, procedures and regulations to ensure compliance and patient safety. Participation in Compliance and other important training is a condition of employment.

Primary Responsibilities: 

  • Identifies and collects information concerning the health status of patients
  • Evaluates patient’s responses to interventions and to the revision of the plan of care as needed
  • Ensures the implementation of patient care orders in a timely manner
  • Demonstrates quality improvement, facilitating the generation of ideas for improvement of patient care and functioning of the clinic
  • Completing basic LPN competencies in addition to departmental specific competencies
  • Follows organizational policies and procedures
  • Other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications: 

  • Graduate from a Licensed Practical Nursing program
  • Current BLS Certification; Valid NM LPN Licensure, valid multi-state compact license

Preferred Qualification

  • 1+ years of related experience

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES

  •  Ability to maintain strict patient confidentiality; basic math skills, basic computer skills

Connecticut Residents Only: The hourly range for this role is $19.47 to $38.08 per hour. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
