CLINICIAN


A Day in the Life:


The Clinician is an onsite part-time non-exempt position located in Berkshire, MA who reports to the Program Director.


This position operates in a highly scheduled environment but may require longer hours and occasional weekend work and minimal travel as job duties demand. The Clinician position involves a low physical demand.


All the Responsibilities We’ll Trust You With:


  • Deliver high-quality direct clinical services, including tele-counseling.

  • Work within the CIP Clinical Framework to provide assessments, support plans, case management, as well as individual and group counseling.

  • Lead in crisis intervention and emergency on-call situations.

  • Communicate and Collaborate with prescribing physicians on medication and the continuity and support of external treatment plans and care.

  • Master CIP’s medical record platform – Therapy Notes.

  • Connect and consult with CIP staff and administration.

  • Increase student engagement, participation, self-awareness, and self-advocacy in the ongoing process of personal mental health management.

  • Develop effective skills and strategies for student-led navigation of mental, behavioral, and associated physical health services in real-world settings.

  • *Other Duties as Assigned


Qualities You Possess:


  • The Clinician will possess exceptional communication skills, precise attention to detail, superior organization and prioritization skills and self-motivation in managing tasks to completion. They will have genuine empathy and awareness of the needs and sensitivities of prospective families, students, and staff.


Your Areas of Knowledge and Expertise:


  • Master’s degree in a field such as Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Rehabilitation Counseling, Mental Health Counseling, Autism, Psychology, Education or similar is required.

  • Licensed by the state as an LMFT or LCSW preferred.

  • Clinical experience in an educational setting among young adults with ASD and/or learning disabilities is required.

  • BCBA certification, or Doctorate in Special Education or similar is highly preferred.
