Machine Maintenance Technician 2nd shift - Full-time

Position Overview:

We are currently seeking an energetic and dependable maintenance person for our Coon Rapids location. This is a 2nd shift position that would work in all areas of our facility.

 

The Maintenance Technician will report to the Maintenance Manager or shift Lead and will assist with the overall maintenance and reliability improvement efforts for the plant. This position is responsible for performing preventative maintenance to ensure all machines are functioning safely and efficiently. The maintenance technician also responds to machine and/or system failures and must be able to troubleshoot when necessary.  Assists in projects, overhauls, rebuilds, and installations.  Follows direction from Maintenance Supervisor and lead person.  Helps with housekeeping duties in the shop and parts room.

Responsibilities:

• Grease and oil corrugator and converting machinery and maintain logbook.
• Parts runner when needed.
• Snow removal in the winter.
• Maintains yard care machinery.
• Miscellaneous painting duties.
• Assist on maintenance calls.
• Assist with boiler maintenance.
• Keeps maintenance shop and parts room orderly.
• General building maintenance.
• Follows product safety and quality management policies, procedures and expectations.
• Review department performance annually with Maintenance Manager.

Qualifications:

 

• Boilers license or ability to obtain Special Engineer Boilers license
• Familiar with the process of work orders, inventory, parts, and time management.
• Must pass comprehensive maintenance aptitude test with a passing score of 75% or higher.

Compensation & Benefits:

Hiring bonus $1000.  Pay is dependent on qualifications and experience $27-$33.58/hr.  In addition to a competitive wage, we offer a comprehensive benefit package including, medical, dental, life, pension, and 401k.  Union membership.
