Aftercare Teacher

Description:

• Learn about dyslexia through training
• Attend staff meetings and recommended training sessions.
• Responsible for instructing, supervising, and creating a fun and safe environment for children in the aftercare program.
• Create a fun and exciting educational experience for students
• Maintain a professional attitude and partnership with LKA
• Treats all children with dignity and respect
• Maintain a neat and organized classroom
• Administer and supervises all activities to ensure safety at all times
• Report problems or concerns to the Director or Assistant manager
• Participate in dismissal procedures at the end of after care, ensuring that each child leaves with the appropriate adult (either Lead Teacher or Authorized Adult)
• Greet parents and children with salutations and smiles
• Work with other staff members to form a positive, supportive team atmosphere
• Teach aftercare programs for students with dyslexia in grades K-5th

Requirements:

• Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age, and attend formal educational school/college.
• Interest in dyslexia and in understanding the dyslexic child
• Must have knowledge and experience in specified programs.
• Must have a warm and friendly personality, be sensitive to the feelings and needs of others, be able to relate well to children, and be willing to fulfill responsibilities in accordance with the School’s program and philosophy.
