Job Description
Full-Time Speech-Language Pathologist Position Available East of Memphis, TN
Soliant is currently seeking a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) for a full-time onsite position at a school district located east of Memphis, TN. The selected candidate will have the opportunity to work with an elementary caseload and will be responsible for supervising a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA). This position starts immediately and extends until May 25, 2024.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and evaluations to identify speech, language, and munication disorders in elementary school-aged students.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address students' speech and language goals, focusing on improving munication skills and academic success.
- Provide direct therapy services to students, both individually and in group settings, utilizing evidence-based practices and techniques.
- Supervise and provide guidance to a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA), ensuring that treatment plans are carried out effectively and in accordance with professional standards.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school personnel to support students' munication needs within the classroom and educational environment.
- Monitor and document students' progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to optimize outes and meet individual needs.
- Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings, providing input on students' speech and language goals, progress, and acmodations.
- Stay informed about current research, trends, and best practices in the field of speech-language pathology, integrating new knowledge into practice as appropriate.
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or munication Disorders from an accredited program.
- Active state licensure or eligibility for licensure in Tennessee.
- Certificate of Clinical petence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) preferred.
- Previous experience working with elementary school-aged students, particularly in a school or educational setting, is advantageous.
- Strong supervision and leadership skills, with the ability to effectively supervise and mentor a SLPA.
- Excellent munication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with students, parents, teachers, and other school staff.
- Dedication to ongoing professional development and staying current with advancements in the field of speech-language pathology.
