Description

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Report to Shipping / Receiving Supervisor for any special instructions.
  2. Fill out Daily Lift Truck Checklist, MSP7 Att50, before operating lift-turn into Planning and Logistics Manager
  3. YARN-locate Yarn Pull Sheet, MSP7 Att21, from Tufting Supervisor or previous shift's driver.
    1. Locate yarn in assigned location in warehouse
    2. Verify correct lot number located on case label
    3. Deliver yarn to tufting creel as needed
    4. Scan yarn stubs for removal from inventory after delivery.
  4. YARN RETURN-when yarn is no longer needed on creel or on Tufting Work Order, MSP7 Att2, take to scale area behind Tufter # 5.
    1. Locate Yarn-Return to Stock Sheet, MSP7 Att38, on each case that was packed by creelers.
    2. If yarn is to be returned to stock, weigh each case individually.
    3. Communicate weights to Planning and Logistics Manager for Yarn tickets to be made.
    4. Once made, place on proper case and deliver to proper location in warehouse.
  5. PRIMARY BACKING-Check Tufting Work Order, MSP7 Att2, to verify type of backing needed.
    1. Locate proper type of primary backing in Backing Racks or designated area.
    2. Scan primary backing ticket for removal from inventory after delivery.
  6. GREIGE ROLLS-move greige rolls from Tufting Machine after Operator doffs.
    1. Make sure ticket and packet are visible when placing in designated area.
    2. Use caution when handling so as to not damage roll before coating.
  7. CUTTABLE/CUT ROLLS- obtain Cut Sheet, MSP7 Att39, from Shipping/ Receiving Supervisor.
    1. Locate proper roll number in warehouse
    2. Verify style as listed on Cut Sheet, MSP7 Att39, and Finished Roll Ticket MSP7 Att36.
    3. Inspect turf before making cut
      1. If turf has visual defect, do not cut roll. Contact Supervisor or QC Inspector.
    4. Make cut at length required on cut sheet.
    5. Once cut is made, wrap and write all necessary information on outside of wrap as required by Purchase Order, MSP7 Att46.
    6. Place sticker onto Cut Sheet, MSP7 Att39, and list remaining balance on roll so Shipping/Receiving Supervisor can update inventory. Initial and date for verification.
    7. Deliver roll to proper location for pickup by carrier.
    8. Take completed paperwork back to Shipping/Receiving Supervisor.
  8. Keep Work area and warehouse clean at all times
  9. Notify Shipping/Receiving Supervisor immediately of any Safety, Quality, or Production issues.
  10. Follow all company regulations as specified in the PlayCore/ Sprinturf Handbook.
  11. Perform any and all other tasks as required by Shipping/Receiving Supervisor or Planning and Logistics Manager.
Qualifications

Education and/or Experience

  • High School Diploma or GED is preferred, but not required.
  • Manufacturing experience is preferred
