Position Purpose: Designs, develop, and present on subjects related to substance use disorder, its prevention and its treatment for a variety of community audiences.

Qualifications/Basic Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor Degree in a Psychology, Counseling, Social Work, Addiction Studies, Health Studies, Education, or other related field, or equivalent experience and training
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Computer proficiency required.
  • Ability to accurately complete required documentation within the time frames prescribed
  • Ability to present and coordinate educational presentations to a broad spectrum of age groups in the community
  • Self-starter with ability to work independently
  • Belief in the mission and vision of Rosecrance
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to meet Agency insurance requirements.

Essential Responsibilities:

  1. Work prescribed hours and be available to work additional hours when necessary. Overtime may be required.
  2. Respond to requests for presentations at various civic, church, and school organizations.
  3. Works toward accomplishment of goals and objectives articulated by prevention funding proposals.
  4. Designs and develops presentations on subjects related chemical dependency.
  5. Initiates and develops contact with various organizations and target groups and emphasizes working relationships between those groups and Rosecrance.
  6. Provides technical assistance and consultation services concerning alcohol and other drug related issues to schools, community groups, and other agencies.
  7. Works with Prevention Program staff to facilitate training workshops for professionals, volunteers, and community groups.
  8. Evaluates curriculums/formats which are utilized in service areas, by responding to completed evaluations and implementing needs assessments.
  9. Represents Rosecrance at community functions such as health fairs, school substance activities, Operation Snowball, etc.
  10. Performs marketing activities to inform schools/community of Rosecrance Prevention Program offerings.
  11. Complete documentation according to the Agency's policies and procedures manual concerning client service record and other reporting as directed.
  12. Serve as a member of the outreach Team and participate in all team meetings and activities.
  13. Understand and comply with all of the principles established by the Rosecrance Corporate Compliance Program and Code of Conduct.
  14. Deliver exceptional customer service consistently to every customer.
  15. Serve as a role model for other staff, clients and customers and demonstrate positive guest relations in representing Rosecrance.
  16. Assume other related responsibilities as assigned by management.

Schedule: 8-hour shifts

  • Shift: 8:00am - 4:30pm
  • Monday through Friday
