Job Description
We anticipate hiring a freelance Front-End Developer this year to be at the intersection of design and technology.  They breathe life into designs, developing interactive web-based experiences.  Using client-side technologies (and frontend tools/frameworks) they build the user interface tier of custom business applications, corporate websites, emails, landing pages and attention-grabbing banners.  This is not a current opening, but if your background aligns to what we are looking for, we will reach out to you directly.

What You’ll Do 
  • Build web-based experiences using technologies including HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript/jQuery and CSS pre-processors like SASS and LESS
  • Write clean, semantic, maintainable front-end experiences
  • Deploy your applications to production environments
  • Work directly with client and partner development teams to co-create/deliver solutions together
  • Advise on technical considerations and dependencies regarding risks, opportunities, efficiency and maintainability
  • Advise on project plans, estimates, and dependencies of front-end tasks
  • Ability to function well in a high-volume, fast-changing work environment and the ability to work on multiple time-critical issues

What We’re Looking For
  • 5+ years of experience in font-end web development, leveraging HTML5, CSS, JavaScript/jQuery and responsive frameworks such as Angular, React, Vue, Bootstrap or similar
  • Experience designing web solutions from the ground up as well as taking over and analyzing existing work product
  • Understands client-side coding patterns and practices for writing performant, secure apps and accessible experiences
  • Understands frameworks such as React, Vue, Angular or similar to build modern applications
  • Understands modern device and browser capabilities and constraints
  • Understands atomic design and how its applied in web applications
  • Understand and use DevOps tools such as Git for source control, build and release processes
  • Knows how to use bug tracking systems such as Jira or similar
  • Mid to senior level experience in implementing and extending API hooks into front-end JavaScript code
  • Strong communication skills, in particular the ability to communicate with project and program managers
  • Ability to work both independently as well as part of a team in an Agile / Scrum environment
  • Agency experience is strongly preferred
