Warehouse Manager

Job Summary

Duties include but are not limited to the pick, inventory, warehouse, and ship function at the Frostproof Florida facility. Responsible for ensuring all raw materials are properly stored and rotated, finished goods are prepared and shipped, and ensure the pick team is effective as well as maintaining accuracy and efficiency standards. Work closely with plant leadership team and operations leadership to drive a culture of employee development and continuous improvement through the warehouse team.

Major Job Functions

This description is general in nature - the duties listed include - but are not inclusive of:

1. Maintain open lines of communication with Logistics and Manufacturing Departments to ensure expected timelines are achieved.
2. Oversee receiving, warehousing, inventory, and distribution operations
3. Daily management of entire pick, pack and ship functions as well as the employees that perform those functions
4. Maintaining daily logs to measure KPI's
5. Verifying all orders that leave the facility are accurate and built in a way that will arrive to the customer in good condition
6. Ownership of Finished Goods inventory, cycle counts and monthly counts
7. Maintain FIFO rotation standards
8. Assist in maintaining all Quality Programs established to comply with FSSC standards
9. Maintain a high level of accountability and integrity throughout the department.
10. Warehousing operations as assigned/needed for business conditions including the ability to operate and train on mobile lift equipment and a yard shuttle.
11. Plan work rotations, assign tasks appropriately and appraise results

1. Communicate with customers, suppliers, employees and transport companies
2. Adhere to all warehousing, handling and shipping legislation requirements

Required Skills/Abilities/Education

• Repetitive lifting and be able to lift 50 lbs.
• Maintain complete, accurate written records.
• Must possess an Associates Degree or equivalent work experience.
• 5 years experience in a leadership role in a warehouse/distribution environment.

• Satisfactorily pass forklift driving training program or demonstrate safe handling of forklift in an on-site test.
• Must be able to read, write, and speak in English. Bi-lingual in Spanish is a plus.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks in challenging situations while continuing to fill core responsibilities
• Experience with inventory software, scanning devices is required; SAP experience highly desirable

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This position is a full-time salaried exempt position and has approximately 15 direct reports and would also serve as a coach and mentor for other positions in the department. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. or as agreed upon. Flexibility is required for this position. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.
