Primoris Industrial and Civil is looking for experienced Foreman to help with a growing number of projects around the Mulberry, Florida area, with the potential for some travel. Experience is a must with all dirt work areas, including excavation, grade work, surveying, and final excavating work. The ideal candidate will have knowledge and experience in heavy equipment such as dozers, excavators, motor graders, loaders, and scrapers. The upcoming projects are long term and have opportunity for overtime and per diem, when per diem requirements are met. To apply, please submit your resume, and any relevant certifications. Functional Requirements:

  • Manage day to day dirt work operations on the jobsite
  • Oversee Equipment Operators and other construction staff to ensure completion of tasks by scheduled time
  • Responsible for running bulldozers, excavators, skid loaders, and other construction equipment
  • Coordinate with subcontractors and Project Manager to complete job on time and budget
  • Quality control on the jobsite
  • Work will be done mainly on dirt/earthwork projects
  • Assist with training and development of staff
  • Other duties as assigned

Preferred:

  • MSHA Experience and Certification

Qualification Standards:

  • *Must be able to Pass Drug Test, Physical & Background Check
  • One (1) to four (3) years of experience with all dirt work areas, including excavation, grade work, surveying, and final excavating work
  • Hands on leader
  • A basic understanding of how to read blueprints
  • Good communication skills
  • Flexibility & willingness to work in multiple positions to see the project completed as efficiently and cost-effectively as possible
  • Must not pose a direct threat to the health or safety of such individual or others in the workplace.
  • Adhere to job site safety requirements as required by the client
  • Safety equipment as required by the client (hard hat, safety glasses, gloves, hearing protection, safety harness with lanyard, etc.).

Physical requirements:

  • Must comply with company’s drug and alcohol abuse policy.
  • Must be able to pass physical examination, pre-employment if necessary, and as required by the company.
  • Able to carry 50 lbs. of tool and/or materials. It is recommended to get assistance to lift items over 50 lbs. Check with your project supervisor or project safety director.
  • Must be able to work outdoors and withstand different weather elements.
  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
  • Ability to lift, carry, bend, crawl, squat, climb, kneel, push, pull, and crouch.
