Under the direction of the Director of Purchasing/Marketing, the Purchasing Logistics Coordinator will assist the purchasing, marketing, logistics, and contract compliance departments with Administrative and Logistical tasks.

What Will You Be Doing?

            Administrative Functions:

  • Processes and coordinates sample requests for sales reps and vendors.
  • Responsible for the coordination of non-stock (Special) orders between sales and purchasing; maintaining logs to track non-stock orders.
  • Maintains organized vendor receivables filing and archiving of old invoices.
  • Oversees operator rebates: sales notifications, tracking operator earnings, and processing end-of-promotional period reports.
  • Assists with pricing audits by retrieving invoices, data consolation, and document preparation.
  • Process vendor receivables deductions for all invoices exceeding 45 days.
  • Assists Purchasing Manager in supplier scorecarding and maintaining GDSN compliance standards.
  • Utilizes data mining software to support buyers & managers as needed.
  • Prepare & distribute internal/external monthly reports.

Logistics Functions:

  • Manages logistics activities for inbound freight managed by third-party logistics providers; consolidations/full Truckloads/LTL/rail.
  • Tracking and coordinating pickup and delivery appointments.
  • Audit & reconcile freight invoices for third-party logistics providers. Prepare weekly batch payments.
  • Audit & reconcile small parcel (UPS/FedEx) & LTL freight invoices.
  • Manages freight claims ensuring efficient resolution and minimizing financial impact.

What Experience, Skills, and Attributes Will You Need to Be Successful? 

  • Bachelor’s degree and/or minimum 3 years of experience in purchasing and/or transportation/freight logistics.
  • Excel, Word, Outlook or similar, AS 400 or similar.  Additional experience with inbound/outbound traffic management or logistics software is considered a plus.
  • Bi-lingual in English & Spanish Preferred.
  • Strong mathematical, reasoning, and problem-solving ability.
  • Required to be able to frequently stand and walk, and ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.

What Do We Offer?

Current Employee Hourly Pay Rate Schedule: $29.00 to $31.50 per hour (Starting pay is dependent on qualifications; target start rate is $29.00 per hour)
