JOB SUMMARY:

Under general supervision issues Prospector's (player's) Club cards and tracks members casino gaming activity; issues and redeems coupons; sells casino merchandise; provides a superior level of Golden Touch service to internal and external customer base; increases guest loyalty by building strong relationships; and performs other duties as required.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: (This class specification may not include all the duties listed, nor do the examples cover all the duties that may be performed.)

Furnish cash to guests and/or employees in exchange for casino chips, tokens, personal or payroll checks, following established MICS and ISO procedures for verifying identity, etc. in order to provide excellent customer service and to promote the Carson Nugget as the "friendliest casino in town".

Issue Carson Nugget Player Cards to guests by keying in pertinent information into the Casino Market Place (CMP) player tracking system with minimal errors.

Verify and update guest information in CMP by asking guest for telephone number, address, email address, etc.

Promote the Carson Nugget by providing up-to-date and accurate information about current events and promotions in response to guest inquiries.

Balance funds at the beginning and end of assigned shift by physically counting money to complete cash drawer accounting and validate the accuracy of transactions during the shift.

Respond to guests' questions, using the Quick Reference Guide, providing information about casino gaming promotions, special and other events and/or programs in order to assist callers, advertise marketing campaigns and encourage guest attendance and participation.

Count currency and coin, either manually or using count equipment by following procedures outlined in MICS in order to provide an accurate valuation of monies exchanges during the shift.

Redeem coupons presented by Winners Club members by issuing vouchers to the guest for the appropriate reward (e.g., free play, complimentary meals, double points, etc.) to recognize and acknowledge coupon holders as valued guests/players.

Publicize the Carson Nugget by selling promotional Bingo and Comedy tickets to guests in order to increase guest loyalty and build strong relationships through identification with the Nugget.

Distribute promotion-related items to Winners Club members and other guests as appropriate, depending on the rules for the particular promotion.

Recognize and resolve guest problems by analyzing each situation and evaluating alternatives in order to implement mutually satisfactory solutions and promote return visits.

Maintain knowledge of the names and gaming activities of top players in order to share this information with co-workers and management and to recognize and acknowledge these individuals as valued guests/players.

Prepare and submit end-of-shift reports, detailing the events occurring on a shift and reconciling the issue of free play and other vouchers to the players who received them in order to ensure the accuracy of operational records.

Assure that manual and computerized documentation/records, such as win/loss statements, coupons, and others are correctly maintained and expedited, in order to provide accurate current and historical information.


ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide training and oversight to less experienced staff.

Provide "second count" on transactions in excess of $1,500.00 to ensure accuracy.

Perform other duties as assigned.
