Job Description

Wilkes University invites applicants for part time positions in the SHINE afterschool program. SHINE is currently seeking professionals to join our team as Teachers and substitute Teachers. Successful candidates will support the lead teacher and assist with curriculum development and student management. Bachelor's Degree and current Pennsylvania Teacher certification required.

Luzerne County SHINE is a nationally recognized program that provides hands on STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics) instructional activities to students in Pre K and 1st through 8th grade in six local school districts (Wilkes Barre Area, Hanover Area, Wyoming Valley West, Nanticoke Area, Pittston Area, and Hazleton Area).

Program begins immediately following day school dismissal. All positions average 10-15 hours per week, 2 or 4 days a week. Must be available between the hours of 3:15-6:30 PM Monday-Thursday.
