The position of Bilingual Dispatcher will have the primary responsibility to perform the actual dispatching of resources and provide the logistics within the system to make sure services are completed.


Position Overview:
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2-3 years dispatching experience and be fluent in English and Spanish, possess exceptional communication skills, and be able to coordinate schedules and routes effectively. The dispatcher will be responsible for receiving incoming calls, dispatching drivers, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of goods or services, and ensuring that driver timesheets are properly completed in a timely manner without errors. Also, have the responsibility to monitor drivers and make sure they are within the requirements of the company and government agencies.


Outline of Duties:
The candidate will be a part of an atmosphere of teamwork but will also be accountable for personal performance of completing work and time management.

  • Analyze with supervisor the daily workload and prioritize the way the work will be dispatched to the drivers.
  • Coordinate with supervisor and operations team on each move to be performed.
  • Pre-dispatch and dispatch drivers to make sure all work is performed daily as planned and on time or according to the scheduling.
  • Use drivers and contract drivers efficiently to work within hours rules and to spread the work effectively amongst the workforce.
  • Monitor manifest of drivers to enable timely processing for billing, HOS and driver paycheck purposes.
  • Monitor all costs associated with accessorial and avoid costs such as demurrage, per diem, etc. by dispatching timely and accurately.
  • Work closely with operations, supervisors, and drivers to contribute to the maximization of revenue and control costs.
  • Work with the supervisor to keep up with 90-day inspections on all company equipment.
  • All other duties and projects as assigned.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Candidate will have high school diploma or general education degree (GED). One to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operations and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Individual will have a positive attitude, good work ethic, and can work well in a team setting or autonomously.
  • Candidate must be self-motivated, and performance driven.
  • This position will periodically require overtime.
  • Full time position with full benefits after 90 days (Health, Dental, and Vision, along with several additional options) Paid vacation and 401k after 6 months of full-time employment.
