POSITION SUMMARY:

  • The short term rehab aspect of patient care is in a post-acute care setting. As an RN working in Transitional Care, you’ll have the opportunity to be an essential part of helping patients reach goals to help them transition home and/or to a less dependent level of care. As part of the nursing team, you will work closely with other healthcare disciplines to assist each patient as they aim to improve their health and wellness outcomes.


COMPENSATION:

  • Starting base rate of pay is $28.22 - $37.63 (RN license)
  • + $2.00 shift premium per hour when scheduled to work from 2:00PM - 6:00AM, all days
  • + $2.00 weekend premium per hour when scheduled to work any shift (6:00AM Saturday through 6:00AM Monday)

SCHEDULES:


Available shifts may include:

  • 4-hours
  • 8-hours (6:00AM - 2:30PM / 2:00PM - 10:30PM / 10:00PM - 6:30AM)
  • 12-hours (6:00AM - 6:00PM / 6:00PM - 6:00AM)

Potential schedules may be available:

  • Full-Time w/ All Benefits: 4 shifts per week plus every other weekend = 80 hours per pay period
  • Part-Time w/ All Benefits: 3 shifts per week plus every other weekend = 64 hours per pay period
  • Part-Time w/ All Benefits Except Medical Insurance: 1-2 shifts per week plus every other weekend = 40-56 hours per pay period
  • Part-Time: 1 shift per week plus every other weekend = 32 hours per pay period
  • Part-Time: every other weekend = 16 hours per pay period
  • Flex: scheduled as needed with minimum of 3 shifts per month including 1 weekend


Requirements:

As a condition for employment, VMRC requires all employees to be fully vaccinated.   • Graduate of Accredited School of Nursing with a current license to practice nursing as RN in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
  • Current CPR certification or obtain within 60 days of employment.
  • Highly organized with the ability to maintain a high level of accuracy, possess computer experience with proficiency in Word, Excel, and Outlook and willingness to learn new software packages.
  • Ability to understand and carry out oral and written assignments using the English language.
  • Ability to establish and maintain an effective working relationship with nursing assistants and nursing administration to ensure established standards of care are met or exceeded.
  • Ability to provide outstanding customer service using a friendly, outgoing, and customer-first approach in person and by phone.
  • A pleasant personality with ability to work closely with staff, residents, and family members in a calm, cooperative, respectful, and professional manner.
  • Proven ability to maintain confidentiality at all times.
  • Ability to be a self-starter and self-motivated and to perform the duties listed in the job description with limited supervision.
  • Willingness to be flexible and accommodate changing priorities.
