Nidec Press & Automation has an immediate opening for a Quality Manager at our Minster, Ohio facility. The Quality Manager's primary function will be to maintain and continuously improve a Quality Management System (QMS) for Nidec Minster. The Quality Manager will successfully lead the entire quality organization by supporting quality standards that meet and/or exceed customer expectations, while promoting continuous improvement and ensuring all quality processes and procedures are well documented. This individual will be responsible for all in-process and final inspection, overseeing the collection and analysis of all manufacturing quality data. The Quality Manager will be responsible for coaching, leading, developing and mentoring all quality personnel within Quality Assurance and Inspection.

Quality Manager Job Responsibilities:

• Maintain, and optimize a highly effective quality management system (QMS)
• Ensure all significant business processes, and all applicable quality processes and procedures are well documented and included within Nidec Minster's QMS
• Ensure high quality standards and in process quality controls are developed and implemented, while using best auditing practices to ensure compliance
• Lead, coach and develop quality personnel within the quality departments at Nidec Minster
• Ensure compliance with ISO9001:2015 standards and processes and lead the activity to maintain certification for all areas of operations
• Manage and maintain the quality inspection areas throughout manufacturing by ensuring inspection personnel are trained and/or certified and inspection processes are successfully executed
• Gather and present quality inspection data to assist in identifying process gaps and/or part design improvements, as well as any methods to improve supplier quality
• Report external quality data and drive actions to reduce warranty costs
• Promote continuous improvement activities to improve product quality and more efficient processes

Quality Manager Job Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in technical field, applied science or engineering required
• 5-7 years' experience leading Quality Assurance in a manufacturing environment
• 2-3 years' experience in a highly technical, low volume, high variation discrete manufacturing environment
• Must be able to read/interpret blueprints & apply GD&T methodologies
• Must be able to instruct, apply, and communicate advanced root cause problem solving techniques
• Experience with MRP systems, preferably SAP
• Experience working with suppliers and qualifying supplier product and processes
• Must be detail oriented and demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills
• Working knowledge of current CMM technology, Zeiss/Calypso is preferred
• Willingness to travel domestically and/or internationally, when required
• Bilingual in English and Spanish is preferred
