Are you a dedicated and compassionate Mental Health Therapist with a passion for helping youth overcome challenges and develop essential life skills? We are currently seeking a skilled and empathetic Mental Health Therapist to lead our Therapeutic Day Treatment (TDT) groups for youth. Join us and together we can provide young individuals with the support they need to overcome challenges and build a brighter future.  The TDT Therapist will have a teenage group on Monday and Tuesday that will run 3:30-5:30 p.m. and a 9-12 age group that will run Wednesday and Thursday from 3:30-5:30 p.m.

What Will I Be Doing?

As a Therapist responsible for leading Therapeutic Day Treatment (TDT) groups, you will be at the forefront of helping adolescents navigate through emotional and behavioral challenges. Your role will encompass a range of essential responsibilities, including: TDT Group Facilitation, Individual Counseling, Treatment Planning and Clinical Documentation.  You will also:

  • Facilitate group therapy sessions for children and adolescents aged 5-18, focusing on various therapeutic modalities and evidence-based interventions.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for clients, addressing their unique needs and goals.
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify mental health concerns, behavioral issues, and developmental challenges.
  • Provide crisis intervention and support to clients in acute distress, ensuring their safety and well-being.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including psychiatrists, social workers, and educators, to coordinate care and optimize treatment outcomes.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of client progress, treatment plans, and interventions in compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Provide support and guidance to families and caregivers, offering education and resources to enhance their understanding of mental health issues and effective coping strategies.
  • Required minimum billable hours per week: 20 hours.
  • Competitive salary with additional hourly rate over 20 hours.

Qualifications:

  • Master's or Doctorate degree in psychology, social work, counseling, or a related field.
  • Previous experience working with youth, with a particular focus on those facing emotional and behavioral challenges.
  • Proficiency in evidence-based therapeutic modalities for youth, with a track record of success in implementing these techniques.
  • Exceptional communication skills and the ability to establish rapport with both youth and their families.
  • A high degree of compassion, patience, and empathy in your work.
  • Capability to work effectively both as part of a collaborative team and independently.
  • Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to documentation and record-keeping.
