Child & Family Therapists receive a robust, individualized training package specific to their position that includes evidence-based therapies, including certification where applicable. Therapeutic models may include Child-Parent Psychotherapy, Circle of Security, Incredible Years, Celebrating Families!, CBT+, Trauma-Focused CBT and more! Our therapists are able to utilize our student loan repayment program as a NHSC participant and Ballmer Scholarship partner agency. AS A CHILD AND FAMILIY THERAPIST YOU WILL:

Provide ongoing clinical and/or case management services to a diverse CHSW consumer population including specialized treatment services in a variety of settings conducts intake, assessment, and diagnosis.

• Conduct initial consumer screening intake and assessment
• Assess and determines consumer diagnosis/service need
• Develop treatment/service plans and/or make appropriate community referral
• Implement treatment/service plans using a variety of therapeutic/educational interventions in a variety of locations and settings
• Perform treatment/service evaluations and follow-up
• Perform routine administrative duties associated with a clinical setting
• Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with appropriate community resources
• Advocate for the values of a diverse population within CHSW and the Community

WHAT YOU BRING:

• Bachelor's degree in related field and currently enrolled in a master's degree program in social work, counseling, psychology, or related field. Must have already completed one full year of the master's degree program at time of hire; master's degree must be obtained within 12 months from date of hire
• Successful completion of an internship with an approved organization, to be reviewed approved by Statewide Clinical Supervisor
• Eligible for Washington State Agency Affiliated Counselor Registration
• Must be proficient in Microsoft Office and able to learn additional software programs related to the positions
• Valid driver’s license required, must obtain a WA state license within 30 days of hire, if out of state license
• Proof of CPR and First Aid Certification (within 30 days of hire)
• A one-step Mantoux TB skin test prior to start of employment. For those who have previously tested positive, documented proof of treatment from a doctor or a negative chest x-ray must be provided
• HIV/AIDS and blood borne pathogens training required (within 30 days of hire)
• Successful completion of a criminal background check
• Successful completion of a drivers check if position requires driving on a regular basis (at least three times per week) or drives consumers. Must not have more than two driving incidents within the last three years

SALARY RANGE AND BENEFITS:

The salary range for this position is $23.03-$31.76. The starting salary range for this position is $23.03-$25.21 DOE for external candidates.

Employees will also receive 10 days of vacation leave each year, one personal day each year, and will accrue one sick day per month (pro-rated for part-time employees).
