Production Assembler

Enerbase is a local cooperative that is one of three parent coops of Dakota Agronomy Partners, which was formed in 1999. Enerbase owns and operates 12 Cenex branded convenience stores and a major supplier of Cenex fuel. Enerbase also owns and operates Agrabase, which is an ag assembly division.

This position will be a Mon-Fri, 6:30 AM to 5:30 PM position with weekends off unless special exception may request it. This schedule is subject to change based on the needs of the department and amount of equipment needing to be completed.

Summary

To assemble, manufacture or fabricate parts from internal or external suppliers or vendors. To produce products to the quality standards set by Agrabase and Customers. To successfully work in a team environment or alone as assigned. Performs a variety of tasks ranging from repetitive to non-repetitive production assembly operations. Consistently work towards common department goals. This position is Fulltime with the expectation of overtime hours worked during seasonal peaks.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

1. Fabricate, Manufacture, or Assemble parts and machinery that meet or exceed quality standards, and customers’ expectations.
2. Use of hand and power tools safely and proficiently
3. Ability to read and comprehend blue prints, diagrams, instructions, correspondence and memos. Including following written and verbal instructions.
4. Ability to function productively as part of a team and/or alone.
5. Must be able to lift up to 75lbs.
6. Adhere to all applicable environmental, safety, health, and operations procedures and directives.
7. Safe forklift operations and ability to get certified in operation of.
8. Expected hours of normal work are Monday – Friday 6:30 am to 5:30pm. Overtime is expected during peak season and would include longer work days and Friday hours.
9. Must be able to stand the entire shift up to 12 hours per day, or more.
10. Maintain a clean and safe work area following quality and safety guidelines.
11. Safety toed shoes are required for this position.
12. Performs other duties as requested.

Work Environment

The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. The work environment is typically indoors, however cold or hot outside air may enter the building and change the temperature frequently. Occasional outside work may be required.

The position is an assembly position, and requires the physical ability to operate a forklift and able to obtain certification as well as to hear warning sound of equipment. Position requires use of appropriate personal protective equipment and participation in the Company’s safety training program.
