FedEx Truck Delivery Driver

A contractor with FedEx Ground, is now hiring Full Time and Part Time Delivery Drivers. Drivers will be operating out of the Defuniak Springs terminal and will be making deliveries to local residences and businesses in the surrounding areas.

Starting Pay: $150 per day with weekly paychecks

Terminal address: 300 Mossy Head Plaza Drive, Defuniak Springs, FL 32433

Work Hours: approx 7 am until delivery completion

Schedule Options: 5-6 days with weekends. We also have part time schedules available.

DELIVERY DRIVER REQUIREMENTS

• Applicants must be 21 years of age or older

• Clean Motor Vehicle Record

• 1 year of verifiable job-related driving experience in the last 3 years OR 5 years of verifiable job-related driving experience in the last 10 years. Driving experience must be verifiable. (MILITARY DRIVING, TAXI, UBER, PIZZA DELIVERY, and LANDSCAPE DRIVER are ACCEPTABLE EXPERIENCE)

• Must be able to pass a Drug Test and DOT Medical / Physical Exam (Paid by FedEx!)

• Must submit to a background check

• Physically able to handle packages up to 150 lbs with a dolly.

• This is a physical job and requires that the delivery driver gets in and out of the truck.

DELIVERY DRIVER RESPONSIBILITIES

• Arrive at Defuniak Springs, FL terminal to pick up the vehicle and packages. (Terminal address: 300 Mossy Head Plaza Drive, Defuniak Springs, FL 32433)

• Drive a company-owned vehicle while following our safety standards on and off the roads.

• Complete 75 to 125 stops per day

• Maintain 100% service performance – Deliver all the packages every day in a timely manner.

• The ability to locate suburban addresses using GPS and/or maps.

• Complete Daily pre and post trip vehicle inspections

• Treat customers with respect

• Follow FedEx Ground procedures when scanning, handling, and delivering packages.

• Wear proper uniform while at work at all times.

• Ensure all Safety Incidents are properly reported to the Business Contacts.
