Title: Sustainability Operations Manager

We are seeking a Sustainability Operations Manager to oversee our recycling processes and drive profitability through efficient resource management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a strategic business plan to optimize resource utilization and minimize waste.
  • Establish streamlined workflow processes to ensure efficient recycling of materials.
  • Lead customer buyback programs and cultivate strong relationships with key partners.
  • Supervise daily operations of the recycling center, including sorting, processing, and quality control of recyclable materials.
  • Manage inventory of materials and supplies to support continuous operations.
  • Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the team.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including maintenance, logistics, planning, and production to optimize operations and resolve issues promptly.

Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent experience.
  • Previous experience in plastics processing, with expertise in regrind, rework, waste, and scrap management.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications, particularly Word and Excel.
  • Experience with ERP systems such as Sage X3 or SAP, as well as knowledge of Kaizen, Lean, and 5S methodologies, is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of safety and environmental regulations.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire teams toward common goals.
