Now Hiring: Sheer/Brake Press Operator
This position requires a welding background strong in sheer/brake press operating manual/CNC.
Location: North Branch MN
Full-time, Monday-Friday, overtime available!
$20-$25/hour DOE
Duties:
- Set sheer press to width per specs and cut quantity of pieces per order.
- Program break press to bend metals per specs and bend required quantity to fulfill order.
- Package finished material(s) and label boxes with type and quantity to prepare for shipping.
- Use of jigs and fixtures required for a majority of all day-to-day operations.
- Self-inspect and evaluate the quality of products before forwarding to the next step in the fulfillment process.
- Other duties deemed necessary to support the Company's business operations (ie. Cross-trainable)
- Read work orders to gather dimensions to cut and bend metal orders and then package require quantities.
Requirements:
- Frequent reaching and lifting up to 80 lbs.
- Ability to stand for 10 hrs a day.
- Requires ability to grip with hands/fingers for sustained periods of time.
- Repetitious and sustained postures alternating between crouching, kneeling, bending, standing for extended periods of time, frequent bending/ twisting/ turning.
- Have knowledge in setting up sheer press for exact width and programming brake press for bending at precise measurements.
- Some use of ladders and climbing steps.
- Operation of equipment and machinery such as overhead cranes and/or forklifts.
- Knowledge of mathematical principles such as adding, subtracting, multiplying, and converting between decimals, percentages, fractions.
- Able to program a brake press.
