Role: Party Chief III - (Land/Site Development)

As a Party Chief III, you will spearhead the fieldwork of survey parties across various job sites, ensuring the efficiency, organization, and precision of operations. This pivotal position entails leading a survey crew in executing a range of land surveying tasks to fulfill client requirements. You will need a comprehensive grasp of techniques, processes, and equipment—both GPS and conventional—essential for conducting diverse field land survey services offered by our company.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Direct and supervise assigned survey crewmembers in executing all types of land surveys offered by the company, including construction layout (residential, commercial, utility, roadway, bridges), boundary surveys, topographic surveys, and route surveys.
  • Plan, coordinate, and oversee field crew efforts to ensure seamless operations.
  • Lead fieldwork, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulations and company standards, such as the Field Crew Handbook.
  • Perform necessary field computations, maintain meticulous records, and manage data files.
  • Interpret information from legal documents and development plans to guide fieldwork accurately.
  • Operate and maintain field equipment, conducting minor adjustments and calibrations as necessary.
  • Collaborate with office personnel to deliver final work products meeting client specifications.
  • Communicate effectively with clients and external stakeholders to facilitate project information exchange.
  • Provide supervision, training, and guidance to other party chiefs as required.

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • 2-5 years of survey project management experience, demonstrating progressive growth in managerial skills.
