Radiology Technologist - 11pm -7am and PRN

Scope of Responsibilities

• Explain, prepare, and perform ordered exam on patients.
• Obtain patient signatures for necessary consent or pregnancy forms. If patient is unsure of LMP, contact physician about a pregnancy test before proceeding with the study.
• Assist licensed independent practitioner with fluoroscopic and specialized radiologic procedures.
• Perform the necessary procedures ordered by the attending physician in a professional manner.
• Scan all consent forms and pregnancy forms into the Avreo PACS system.
• Participate in Quality Assurance, Safety, and Risk Management.
• Attend and do all in-services on computer.

• Ensures that excellent customer service is a top priority at all times
• Ensures HIPAA compliance; safeguards patient privacy and confidentiality at all times
• Prepares and positions the patient for diagnostic imaging tests
• Follows radiation protection techniques to minimize radiation exposure to patient and staff
• Processes images and reviews for proper identification and quality control
• Registers patients according to established protocols with focus on patient care.
• Ensures that patient collections, patient insurance, workers’ compensation and registration data is accurate and complete
  

Minimum Qualifications:

• Graduation from an AMA approved school of Radiologic Technology, either college affiliated or hospital trained.
• Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.
• Certified by the State of Mississippi to practice and administer radiation.
• Current BCLS certification.
• ARRT Certification
