Purpose

Works with John Deere Training Organization to deliver certified classes at dealer locations. Trains dealer personnel and customers in their respective areas of responsibilities to ensure value is delivered to all participants.

Responsibilities

  • Become properly certified by John Deere before delivery of any John Deere training course
  • Organize on site logistics of all training courses including needed equipment, training material/aids, shop and classroom and other misc. items prior to class start time
  • Deliver training courses to attendees as outlined in the Leaders Guide
  • Deliver certified classes at the same level of instructional quality, content, infrastructure and safety as courses instructed by the John Deere training organization
  • Report results of the training event and roster to John Deere training department
  • Tear-down the class to return learning environment to its original state
  • Responsible for ensuring that all students attend the class for the full duration
  • Stay current on new products and technology while regionalizing material to audience
  • Coordinates and schedules all in-house technician training
  • May participate in Service EDUCATE Training programs required for the development of skills and knowledge
  • Operates and maintains vehicles, tools and equipment required to perform job responsibilities
  • Maintains a clean work area and performs work in a neat and orderly fashion
  • Follows all safety rules and regulations in performing work assignments
  • Maintains current knowledge of John Deere and competitive products

Experience, Education, Skills and Knowledge

  • 4+ years of experience performing service repairs; demonstrated experience consistently meeting performance metrics preferred
  • Experience with the mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems used in off road, construction, lawn, or heavy equipment
  • Experience operating vehicles, tools, and equipment for training purposes
  • Experience with basic computer functions; experience using Service ADVISOR™ or other computer based diagnostic repair tools preferred
  • Experience working cooperatively in a team environment
  • Experience communicating effectively verbally and in writing
  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience required; Associates degree preferred
  • Valid driver’s license required; CDL (Commercial Driver’s License) preferred
