Full-time / Direct Hire

We are looking for a Class A CDL Driver to drive government-regulated vehicles both in-state and between states, transporting and delivering equipment both interstate and intrastate. You will be responsible for the safety and inspection of the vehicle before, during and after operation and may be required to do some loading and unloading of shipments. Additional projects may be assigned as needed.

Responsibilities
Essential Functions
  • Inspects truck and trailer before and after transport, then submits truck condition reports.
  • Reads bill of lading to determine assignment and/or creates bill of lading and delivery ticket if needed.
  • Loads or unloads, or assists in loading and unloading trucks and railcars.
  • Services truck with oil, fuel, and radiator fluid to maintain tractor-trailer.
  • Obtains customer’s signature on the delivery document.
  • Inspects goods to be moved.
  • May secure the load to the trailer wall using straps.
  • Drives tractor-trailer combination, applying knowledge of commercial driving regulations, to transport and deliver products, maybe over long distances.
  • Maneuvers truck into loading or unloading position, following signals from spotter as needed.
  • May drive truck to weigh station before and after loading, and along route to document weight and conform to state regulations.
  • Maintains driver log according to federal regulations.
  • May work as member of two-person team driving tractor with sleeper bunk behind cab.
  • Assists in other maintenance or production areas as required.
  • Loads bulk and flatbed trucks as required.
  • Will drive some flat bed loads hauling dry good
  • Performs other duties assigned by management.
Schedule
  • Currently running 6 days on, 1 day off, depending on hours worked. Typically, 70 hours worked, then break for 34 hours.
  • Local hauling/driving
  • Home every night
Education & Experience Requirements
  • High School Diploma or educational equivalent
  • 3 years of experience
  • Thorough knowledge of regulations for the transportation of products and materials being transported
  • Appropriate licensing from the proper regulatory authority
  • Valid driving license required
  • Commercial Drivers License, interstate driving and hazardous material endorsement required in US (Class A CDL)
  • DOT certified
  • Able to handle a vac trailer
  • Tanker endorsement
  • Hazmat certified

Accept a drug test to be performed
Valid Class A CDL
