We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Machinist to join our dynamic maintenance team. As a Senior Machinist, you will play a crucial role in the production process by utilizing your expertise in precision machining to create high-quality components. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in operating and programming a variety of machining equipment, possess excellent problem-solving skills, and demonstrate leadership qualities.

Position Responsibilities:
  • Review samples, drawings, and instructions to understand specifications of output
  • Plan the sequence of necessary actions to complete the job
  • Take measurements and mark material for cutting or shaping
  • Select appropriate machines (mills, lathes, drills, grinders, etc.) and position or load material for job
  • Monitor machine while working to adjust the feed, maintain temperature, and identify issues
  • Check output to ensure compliance with specifications and discard defective pieces
  • Perform routine machine maintenance and repair minor damage
  • Support plant maintenance staff with other equipment repairs and rebuilds in the field or in the maintenance shop
  • Complete any other tasks as needed or as directed by management
Required Qualifications:
  • Must have five (5) years of machining and fabrication experience
  • Must have experience in using and/or programming manual, semi-automated, or automated tools and machines
  • Able to use precision tools to take accurate measurements
  • Knowledge of the properties of metal and other materials
  • Able to read blueprints, schematics and manuals
  • Able and willing to work in a MSHA regulated Chemical Plant
  • Able to foster a positive team environment with craftspeople, suppliers and contractors.
Required Education/Certification/Licensure:
  • HS/GED Required
  • Valid Driver’s License and good driving record required in order to drive company vehicles on property.

The expected pay rate is $43.00/hour. The actual pay rate offered may vary based on multiple factors including, but not limited to experience, knowledge, skills, and/or location.

Employee must pass a full-face respiratory fit test. Employee must be able to lift 50 lbs.
